Friday, May 15, 2015. My mom and I recently took a week-long trip to the Riviera Maya. In Mexico, which Scott planned as a surprise for me. I had no idea until we arrived at the airport where we were going, which was both thrilling and terrifying. It was a relaxing week filled with 30 degree days, ocean breezes, non-stop reading and even a couple of wild animals, more on those later. Our resort, El Dorado Royale.

Monday, June 15, 2015. A few weeks back, meg and i had the pleasure of visiting the new pasture-to-plate concept restaurant, 12 Acres. In stalbert days before they opened to the public. and let me tell you, we were absolutley blown away! Having this intimate setting for media, family and friends allowed each of us to experience the real concept and feel of 12 Acres. The concept is relatively simple. meat, poultry and vegetables fresh from a l ocal farm.

Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Last week we packed up a picnic, all our bathing suits and some towels and boarded a boat for an hour long journey off the gulf coast to a place called Ship Island. It was slightly overcast when we arrived for the day but the heat was amazing and the water is warm. Wren collected hermit crabs, we examined starfish and even saw dolphins swimming just off shore throughout the day! If I had to imagine what paradise looked like I would guess this is it.
